The CBSE is going to close the application window for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET January 2024) today, November 27. Those candidates who have not applied yet, have only time till 11:59 pm tonight to apply.

CTET 2024 Exam Date
The CTET 2024 will be held on January 21 in 135 cities across the country, with the result likely to be declared in February. The exam will be conducted in 20 different languages.

Single Paper
- General / OBC / EWS: 1000/-
- SC / ST / PH: 500/-
Both Paper Junior/ Primary:
- General / OBC / EWS: 1200/-
- SC / ST / PH: 600/-
CTET exam consists of two papers – Paper I is for the appointment of teachers for classes I to V, while Paper II is for the appointment of teachers for classes VI to VIII.
CTET 2024 test paper will contain only Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs). Each question will carry one mark, and there will be no negative marking for wrong answers.
CTET Junior Eligibility for Class I to V
- A diploma in elementary education should be Passed with at least 50% marks or appearing in the final year.
- Bachelor of Elementary Education (B. El. Ed) should be Passed with at least 50% marks or appearing in the final year.
- Diploma in Education (D. Ed) should be Passed with at least 50% marks or appearing in the final year.
- Diploma in Elementary Education (as NCTE) should be Passed with at least 45% marks or appearing in the final year.
CTET Junior Qualifications for Class VI to VIII
- Bachelor’s Degree and passed or appearing in the final year.
- Graduation or Post-Graduation should be passed with 50% marks or appearing in the final year.
- Bachelor in Education (B. Ed) and should be passed with 45% marks or appearing in the first year.
- Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed) should be Passed with at least 50% marks or appear in the final year.
- B.A/B.Sc. Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc. Ed and should be passed with 50% marks or appear in the final year.
- Post-Graduation (B.Ed.-M. Ed or equivalent) and should be passed with 55% marks or appearing in the final year.
