Norovirus is a contagious virus that have common causes of gastroenteritis (vomiting and diarrhea). This virus is spread maximum during winter seasons.

Norovirus is also known as the “winter vomiting bug”. This virus has maximum effects on children. This Virus can also spread from one person to another person coronavirus.

According to the world health organization (WHO) said there are 685 million cases coming annually and from them, children’s cases are 200.

The norovirus infection causes an approximated 2 lakhs deaths to come per year and more than 50,000 death cases of children.

There are many causes of norovirus we saw over the years. This virus is similar spreads to the way other viruses.

Norovirus Symptoms

There are many common symptoms of norovirus we see are:

  2. Vomiting.
  3. Nausea.
  4. stomach pain.
  5. Inflammation of the stomach or intestines.
  6. Acute gastroenteritis.
  7. Fever.
  8. Headache.
  9. Body aches, etc.

The above symptoms are seen within 12 to 48 hours in the human body. Norovirus can also be identified by a stool sample.

Norovirus Treatment

This virus is not so dangerous for adults but the virus can easily affect children. There is no specific treatment for norovirus.

The doctors said that consume drink plenty of liquids. Avoid dehydration eat more liquid food.

We see that Many people will recover from norovirus without needing any treatment.
